Monday evening, July 19th, 2010, at 5 p.m. we gathered at the hallowed grounds of Horton Smith Golf Course.  Seven participants eager to attack the course anxiously awaited the team assignments.  Team 1 played a bit earlier and consisted of Tassi Fry & Bob Pope.  Team 2 was made up of Morris Johnson, Jim Ledbetter & Paul Miller.  Team 3 consisted of Randy Fry, Bob Pope & Don Simpson.

The starter was a bit confused and Team 2 teed off on number 10.  Before Team 3 could get to the tee box the starter allowed a single player to tee off.  Sadly enough, this single player was never able to play through Team 2 as they were right on the heels of a young twosome...

We had quite the strange day weather wise.  Rain threatened mid-afternoon and threatened again after we finished but it never once rained on us and the weather was phenomenal!

Eight golfers were in attendance, but one of them had to pre-play so she could make another commitment at 6:30.

So, Team 1 was Tassi Fry & Bob Pope, Team 2 was Morris Johnson, Jim Ledbetter & Don Simpson, Team 3 was Dale Cook & Bob Pope, and Team 4 was Randy Fry & Paul Miller. 

Since Horton Smith Golf Course celebrated July 4th on July 4th not July 5th they weren't charging holiday rates to play Monday night.  Six golfers took advantage of the lower price and the miracle of no rain even though the forecast was 95% chance of rain from 4pm-7pm!

Teams were randomly drawn with Team 1 consisting of Tassi Fry, Bob Pope & Don Simpson.  Team 2 was Gene Blakey, Randy Fry & Greg Spilman.

What an exquisite evening for golf!  Low 80s and low humidity with a nice breeze.  Weather.com said it was 83 and felt like 82 at tee time.

Six golfers turned out, lots were cast, Team 1 was Morris "MoJo" Johnson, Jim Ledbetter, and Greg Spilman.  Team 2 was Bob Pope, Randy & Tassi Fry.

5:14 came and Team 1 was off!
